PowerSchool is a web-based student information system that is used by all schools in the District.  It consists of two components - PowerSchool, which contains the office functions, and PowerTeacher, which contains the teacher functions.  A Progress/IPP module has been built in, to meet the specific needs of Edmonton Public Schools.

 

Support

All PowerSchool Support questions should be directed to the ITS Help Desk.  This includes:

  • PowerTeacher
  • PowerSchool Administrative Module
  • Progress/IPP
  • Pre-enrolment
  • System performance/response

PowerSchool New Features

  1. Due to an upgrade, many of our custom AB and EPSB fields that you are used to seeing now have a prefix. The fields are still ther but you must include the prefix to search on the fields. Click here for a conversion chart. Power School Name Conversions (2017)

  2. New Student Distance From School Report.  This report shows a list of students and their distance from school.  It is found under Special Functions -> School Functions.

 

LSP Module New Features

  1. The IPP now supports two homeroom teachers.  To show two homeroom teachers on the IPP, check  “Show Two Homeroom Teachers” on the Set IPP Dates page.

  2. Schools also have the option to not show a homeroom teacher on the IPP.  Uncheck “Display Homeroom Teacher” on the Set IPP Dates page

  3. The text on the Accommodations section on the IPP has been updated to include high school wording.
